By interacting with nature you can grasp its various facets, from the smallest and only apparently insignificant ones, to the most unique and impactful ones. It is above all from the latter that one truly grasps what nature is, and from which a reflective comparison often begins where one takes note of one's own small size in the presence of this grandeur, which enjoys the power to decide for and to be human.
A sense of bewilderment that is nevertheless precious, because it is an opportunity for confrontation with one's own self.
An opportunity to "downsize", as well as a more intimate and ancestral awareness of one's role in the world.
That we get closer to nature perhaps not by chance, but by an ancient call, a deep internal echo that cannot be heard among the deafening noises of the frenetic world that has gotten out of hand?
After all, this is our true environment, the starting point that gave us life. We carry the signs of it. It has shaped our very genetics over time. In some respects we are a reflection of it, a similarity.
Yet there are those who, in this re-appropriation of their original status, sometimes seem to go too far, calling everything into question. What lies behind this greed? Are we celebrating nature and its grandeur that dominates man or just the spectacularization of the self?
A boundary seems to increasingly emerge between the two parts, a thin line between the epiphany of being part of the whole and the exaltation of one's ego.
Does man want to discover himself as part of nature or overcome it?
